FRIENDS OF ALLESLEY PARK
To Improve Allesley Park, its walled garden and the surrounding area through planting and maintaining trees, shrubs, flowers and bulbs, creating gardens, hosting events, maintaining woodland and providing wildlife habitats. By maintaining and preserving the historical features of the park, walled garden and its surrounding areas and involving the public by providing opportunities for them to participate in all aspects of the maintenance and enhancement.
PROJECTS
OUR PURPOSE
THE WILDFLOWER MEADOW
IThe Friends along with the local primary schools planted wild flowers to create a meadow in the area which used to be the children's playarea.
THE POND

The Friends helped to replant the restored pond within the park with oxygenating plants to encourage wildlife.
PLANTING IN THE WALLED GARDEN
Year 1 children from St Christopher's School helped to plant daffodil bulbs in the ornamental beds within the walled garden.
THE MEMORIAL ROSE GARDEN
In 2012 we planted a cultivated a memorial rose garden looking over the park towards the church spire in Allesley Village , if you walk from the car park towards the play area it is on your left bordered by green railings.
